The Ezeabulunne family of Dim- ubana village and Chief R. Ukeji family of Umuesiakan kindred, Otta village both in Oraukwu in Idemili North council area of Anambra state are mourning the demise of their matriarch, Ezinne (Mrs) Bridget C. Ukeji who departed this world at a ripe age of 88.
A devout Catholic, during her life time, the late Mrs Ukeji worked tirelessly for the propagation of the Catholic faith leading to the church honouring her with the prestigious Ezinne title ( Good mother).
She was also a philanthropist, women advocate and community leader who exuded compassion for the downtrodden.
At 88, Ezinne surpassed the Biblical seven scores and one hence her transition should be more of a celebration of a long life well lived for in the words of J.K Rowling “to the well organised mind, death is but the next great adventure”
It is perhaps in the realization of this truism that the Ezeabulunne and Ukeji families, starting from Monday, 5th April 2021, will be rolling out the drums to celebrate the life and time of a quintessentially kind and good hearted woman hailed by her admirers as Diamond Mother.
Notedly, her wake keep will hold in the form of vigil mass on April 5th, 2021 at her husband’s compound, Otta village, Oraukwu.
Tuesday, 6th April 2021, at 6am, body leave St. Charles Borromeo mortuary for a brief stop over at her father’s compound, Dim-ubana village, Oraukwu. This will be followed by concelebrated requiem mass at Holy Family Catholic Church, Oraukwu after which she will be laid to rest in her husband’s compound.
A Thanksgiving mass in her honour will be held in the same church on Sunday, 11th April, 2021 at 10am.
The late Mrs. Ukeji was blessed with highly resourceful and successful children among whom is Chief (Sir)Joseph.I Ukeji, Chairman J.I Ejison International Ltd, a company with over 1000 employees & promoters.
J.I Ejison International ltd is the franchise holders of Bullet Energy drink, Pure Heaven Alcoholic and Non Alcoholic wines, Giovanni Sparkling wines
