Pastor Taiwo Odukoya, the founder of Fountain of Life Church, Ilupeju, Lagos has just lost his new wife, Nomthi, Thelaurels Magazine reports.
In a social media post viewed by our source, Pastor Taiwo Odukoya made the announcement.
He wrote: “I have to announce the passing of my wife, Pastor Nomthi Odukoya, with tremendous grief and gratitude to God,” he stated.
She has been battling cancer for over two years. She fought on the basis of God’s word.
She gave me eleven lovely years of marriage and two wonderful sons, both of whom I know will play important roles in my life.
I adore her, but who am I to stand in the way of God’s will?”
Pastor Taiwo Odukoya’s first wife, Bimbo Odukoya, died in a plane disaster 16 years ago, and he is now a widow again.
Odukoya, 65, married Nomthi, a Zulu descendent from South Africa, in Lagos in 2010 after his first wife, Pastor Bimbo, was killed in the ill-fated 2005 Sosoliso flight disaster, which also killed hundreds of students at the Loyola Jesuit College in Abuja.
Our Source reports that Taiwo and Bimbo had been married for 21 years when she died. Tolu, Jimi, and Tobi are the three children of the couple.
