The Oto-Awori Local Council Development Area of Lagos has partnered with the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) to reduce drug abuse in the council.
Its Chairman, Prince Musibau Adekunle Asafa, was ever ready to collaborate with NDLEA to tackle the menace of drug abuse.
Asafa said he has over time reiterated his commitment to a viable society and enlightening the public on the dangers inherent on improper or excessive use of drugs.
Commander of Narcotics, Seme Special Area Command of NDLEA, Abubakar Wada said the surge of uncontrollable attitude due to drug abuse by some persons has eaten deep into the society.
Wada said he was ready to work with stakeholders most especially to achieve a better synergy.
“Part of the reasons for this visit is to create awareness and encourage knowledge through initiatives and programmes that would discourage drug abuse. We are hoping that the council will in the nearest time share this responsibility with us” he said.
Wada, whose area of coverage spread across Badagry to Mile 2, was accompanied by Deputy Commander, Rita Ajoko and other staff of the Command
