‘Don’t promote fictitious transactions’

Council Chairman of Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN), Mr. Benjamin Osisioma, has urged accountants not to promote fictitious transactions.
He said they should improve skills and techniques to meet demands for accountability.
Osisioma spoke in Lagos yesterday at the eighth session of 2022 Mandatory Continuing Professional Development Programme/Induction
Represented by First Vice President, James Neminebor, he enjoined members not to promote fictitious transactions and compromise standard of the profession.
He said their role transcends promoting what was not real and legal, adding they should take time to collect authentic information from clients.
