The National Road Transport Union of Nigeria currently under the leadership of Tajudeen Baruwa with almost 2 million members, the majority of which are informal workers. Taxi, bus and truck drivers has continue to face several threat from within and outside forces who are demonstrating the power of collective activity over certain interest being linked to power to effect change of NURTW leadership.

Speaking during a press conference at Abuja recently, the national president of NURTW Tajudeen Baruwa made chains of revelation pointing out certain individuals led by Agbede and Ajasin who are bent playing the card of some external hands who are working against the lawfully elected leadership of the union to function or rather allow for the operation of the internal conflict resolution mechanism midwifed by Congress to find a way out of the unbearable situation that might have led to the invasion.
